My eye doctor mentioned fitovers as a cheaper option than buying prescription sunglasses and suggested I check out Jonathan Paul Fitovers. I placed an order online on 2/7/23 through fitover.com. When I called on 2/13/23 to ask about my order status, I was shocked by how frustrating the interaction was with the representative trying to track it down. I gave him the order number from my purchase confirmation, but he initially said he couldn't find it. Then he started listing items associated with that order number that I definitely didn’t order. It seems their system is a mess, and they struggle to find orders. He even asked if I was calling from an optometrist's office, implying that only eye doctors typically place orders. I pointed out that there’s a website for regular folks like me to order from. Eventually, he managed to find my order using my name. He mentioned they were hilcovision and it sounded like they only handle orders from optometrists. Honestly, RIDICULOUS! If hilcovision is in charge of processing orders from this site, they should have all the necessary info in their system. This was enough for me to decide to cancel my order.

Is this a fraudulent business? I ordered a pair online three weeks back. Haven't heard a peep from them. The email they gave me is bouncing back as invalid.

I paid through PayPal, so I'm planning to contact them to cancel my order.

I got myself a pair of Jonathan Paul fitovers from my local optometrist. The price was a bit steep, but I was okay with it since they fit my needs. Unfortunately, the frame by the left hinge broke not long after. I’ve noticed that the plastic in that spot is quite thin; seems like a design flaw to me. Other folks have mentioned similar problems and think the plastic quality isn’t great. I returned them to the store, and they sent a picture to the suppliers for review. Let’s see what they say.
UPDATE: The suppliers have sent a brand new pair in exchange for the old one. Happy ending!

My experience with this order was not great. The glasses I received were of poor quality. They didn't even hold up for a month! Given the return shipping costs, I decided to just keep them. It's a bummer.

At first, I was pleased with the two sets I purchased, but after keeping them safely stored over the winter, I was shocked to discover both pairs were no longer usable. One set had a crazing on a lens, while the other appeared as if the lenses had melted or some glue had seeped around the edges. To make matters worse, this second pair got a mark on one lens after just two days of use! The frames are still in great shape, but the lenses have really gone downhill. Totally unusable. I won't be getting these again. Plus, I haven't heard back from customer service about getting replacement lenses.

The customer service after the sale is really lacking. I had a pair of JP Fitovers that held up for a few years. Recently, I got another pair - Euroka - and they broke within two months. The plastic on the right temple at the hinge just snapped. No one is willing to back the product - not the seller or the Jonathan Paul company. I purchased them from Sports by Sager on eBay, who claim to be an authorized seller for this brand. They refuse to support the product. I reached out to Jonathan Paul US - jpeyewear.com, which redirects to fitovers.com. They also won't take responsibility. I'm out $70. Buyer beware.
